In the last week I have had the pleasure of watching my boys' faces light up when they received compliments for doing the right thing, whether it was using their manners at a restaurant or opening the door for an older couple at the store. They do these things because we teach them to do them and expect them to use what they have been taught. It was awesome to hear my youngest tell me that noe he gets why we teach him to be polite and help people. His answer? "It's the right thing to do." Whoo-hoo! Something I taught him actually stuck!<br /><br />Thanks for listening to my story, SM. I PRAY that my boys will have even half of the intellect and good sense that Jock seems to possess when they are teenagers.
