Positive Thoughts Produce Positive Results

Positive experiences and outlooks don't just happen; they're created. That silver lining everyone always tells you to look for? Yeah, you actually have to look. I know, right? Novel concept. Think about it. All of life's platitudes and motivations actually tell you to DO something.

When life hands you lemons...MAKE lemonade.

The journey of 1000 miles begins by TAKING one step.

When opportunity knocks, OPEN the door.

If at first you don't succeed, TRY, TRY again.

If you want more luck, TAKE more chances.

Just DO it.

Start from now and MAKE a brand new ending.

You have to LEARN the rules of the game. And then you have to PLAY better than anyone else.

Once you REPLACE negative thoughts with positive ones, you'll start having positive results.

THINK like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail.

The best thing to GIVE yourself is respect.

There are always flowers for those who want to SEE them.

And I could probably go on and on. Actually, no probably about it. I KNOW I could go on and on. All credit for these quotes and sayings (well, for my finding them, at any rate) goes to They DO give appropriate credit there, so please take a minute to check it out if you're wondering who said what.

My point in all of these? How you choose to face and live your life is up to you. But always remember that facing and living life? Those require action on your part. Constant action. Even if that action is simply altering the way you're looking at your current situation.

Only those who are flat on their back and in the darkest of night will ever see the stars clearly.

I love quotes like that - I have them hung in my house at random places for the kids. So inspiring. So motivational. So encouraging.

Family love, to me, is the most valuable thing you have in your life. If you didn't have your family, you wouldn't go anywhere. When you were down, they were there for you. When you needed something they tried to make that happen. When you think you don't have a family, you do. All you need to do is just give them a little call and they will be there for you. I got kicked out of the house when I was 18 and I had nowhere to go. I was around a wrong crowd and got into drugs. My addiction to meth was so bad, I nearly died. I realized that my life wasn't going anywhere and I needed help. The first people that I called and the only people that I called was my mom and dad. They were very happy to help me and got me into a drug rehab program. I am currently on the program and I can already tell that things are getting back to normal. I'm getting my life back, and most important I'm getting my family back.

I'm saving this post on my favorites. I needed to read this today in such a major way--I couldn't possibly explain it to you.
Thanks for posting. You rock!

Wow. I love inspirational quotes but I never realised that EVERY one is about an action. Can I publish this as a Facebook note to share with my friends? I'll put "by you" at the end of course. What should I write for "you"?

Disregard that, I went the simple way and shared the link :)

Would you PLEASE quit making sense and forcing me to be accountable, Sports Mama? :)

Kidding. After 45 years of living I am finally realizing that my life will only be what I make it. I cannot depend on other people to create my happiness. I also realize that I cannot let them dictate what my happiness should be.
