Absolutely Positively

There are some certainties in life that you can count on. The sun will rise tomorrow, the boys will argue over the right way to advance past any random obstacle in whatever the video game of the day is, Coach will fall asleep on Christmas Eve long before it's time to wrap the gifts and place them under the tree, and just when I'm convinced I'm going to give up on the lot of them, they will each do something that saves their lives...um, endears them to me once again.

Things like shouting "HI MOM!" from across the room when his brother is on the phone with me. Or cutting himself off mid-whine to solve his own dilemma about baseball pants.  Or searching high and low on the Internet to make sure he gets me exactly what I want, and the only thing I asked for, at a price even I won't make a fuss over. (Bill and Ted AND the B-52's, for less than $20 for BOTH! Santa loves me, yes he does!)

These things keep me coming back to this insanity night after night, when it would be so easy to just keep driving past my exit on the interstate.  Well, these things and the fact that there simply isn't anyone else on the planet who hugs me just like these three guys do. Protected, loved and cherished; these hugs are as much a haven for me as they are for my boys.  Which totally explains why I torture them night after night, day after day, in front of friends and girlfriends; demanding that they march themselves over and hug me.

There is, of course, one more certainty in life. That being the absolute certainty of my love of toe socks, and sharing that love with my recently-brainwashed-to-the-dark-side-with-me nieces.

Can't feel the toe socks... but 'Bill and Ted' was criminally underrated and the B52's music is always welcomed in the jukebox of my mind.

LOVE! I'm wearing red and green striped toe socks right this very second! They actually help with the chafing of the new toe ring my Hunny gave me for Christmas. I loves me a toe ring.

can you believe my boys sat through BOTH Bill & Ted movies without laughing...

let's not mention that they were forced to sit there...

let's just pretend that they're far too young for the maturity of the humor :)

I get claustrophobic just looking at toe socks. But if they make you happy, I like them a bit.

I can't handle toe socks, to me it's a similar feeling to having a hole in your sock and a toe peeking out. But my stepdaughters love them. No worries about me ever stealing their socks. LOL!
