Heard In Our House

"I had a great practice. The rest of the team? Not so much." ~~ Bug after his first practice with the new baseball team.

"Those aren't pecs, those are boobs!" ~~ Jock when it was mentioned that his best friend and teammate *possibly* has bigger pecs than he does.

"You smell really good." ~~ me, as I snuggled up to my man last night (of course, to get the full effect you need to realize he was sound asleep at the time) (Also, the smell I was liking? IcyHot. Smells just like the white conversation hearts, which I really love.)

"Sorry. That means I'm not working hard enough. I'm supposed to stink." ~~ Coach's reply. (Yeah. He never actually woke up.)

"You realize that this might actually finally ruin this show for you?" ~~Coach to me upon learning that this was '80s week on American Idol. (Alas... it was discovered that poor Coach will have to continue to suffer in relative silence for the remainder of this season as they didn't do such a horrendous job on my favorite music that I have to never watch again.)

Ok. You all have been asking some great questions. Some are a bit ..... odd? off? just wrong? (eating insects? Really??)..... but they've all been a fantastic insight into how you all think! I'm going to start answering them with my next post, I think. I also think that I'm going to break it into a multi-part Locker Room Interview, so as to keep the post from being outrageously long! Yay!! I was only expecting a couple of questions, and you all came through with many more. There is still time to throw some more in, so keep 'em coming. You can ask them at the original post, or leave them for me here.

This is going to be so fun!

I love the conversation between you and Coach. Also, I am now craving white conversation hearts. Do you think I could still find some?

I love the boob-pecs. That may be the new man-boob replacement.

I've been on a break for a bit, but just want to say I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new style. How sleek and cool. It's very you. Perfect.

Here's a question. What kind of car do you drive? I imagine you in an adorable sports car, red, that's very sleek. I'm so off, right?

It takes a good woman to appreciate the smell of IcyHot. I call it the scent of Competitive Drive. Sure beats lavender.

Sue, love it!

Amy, I wish I knew! I didn't actually get any this year and am dying for some. If I find them, I'll let you know!

Karen, I can't even begin to describe how hard I laughed at that one!

Kidzmama, I've missed you! Thanks for the props on the new look!

Hi Jim! Welcome to my world! Its the strangest thing, and no one else I know will admit to it, but I absolutely love that smell. :)

I ONLY eat the white candy hearts. They are the best ones! And darn it, I didn't make it back in time with my question! Argh! Now I'll never know whether you would rather do the horizontal tango with Monster or Kermit the Frog. I'm very sad (and disappointed in myself for not reading blogs the last few days).
