I Won't Just Shower You With Pictures, I'll Attempt To Drown You

We spent the afternoon happily getting the boys pictures taken.

Well, that's not entirely accurate.

The afternoon was spent taking their pictures. By me. Because I'm cheap and refuse to pay the school photographer eighty-eleventy billion dollars for a single 8x10.

And they did cooperate. Complaining the entire way.

Although I think the pictures turned out pretty darn good, considering I'm a lousy photographer. My problem now is picking the best ones to print and get framed for the grandparents. (And? Any grandparents of my children that are currently reading this blog have my full permission to chime in here and just tell me which one you like the best. Really. Please.)

So, I'm putting them here and letting you all vote. There's some of them together, and some of each of them separately. Let me know what you think. Unless you think I totally suck at this photography thing, in which case... hush. I already know that, but this is what we're doing for their pictures this year.

And then, I love this one. I won't be using it for the grandparent pictures, since the purpose is so that they can see my boys' handsome faces, but I still love it:

Then we have their individual pictures. I am having a really hard time picking these out. I'll probably end up selecting a couple of different poses.

Here's Jock:

And my Bug. Who, incidentally, claims he had a "really, really fun time" doing this photo shoot today.

Ok. I actually took close to 50 different pictures today. Some are just goofy, outtake sort of pics that I'll keep for myself to look back on and smile over. Some are just plain bad. But there are still quite a few more that I could share with you. You know, if I really wanted to ensure that no one ever came back because of photo overload. *sigh*

Sorry if the spacing is all wonky. I have problems getting Blogger to load these things right without a LOT of tweaking. And it's too stinkin' late to do much tweaking tonight. But if you all could let me know what you think of these, that would be great.

And I was serious about the grandparents chiming in. I need to know what to send you for Christmas.

I love pic 4, pic one of Jock, and pic two of Bug. You sure have handsome boys. And Jock grows nicer facial hair than my Oatmeal Head does. :)

I like a lot of them. But can I give you a tip without coming across as a know-it-all? If you go to Picnik.com you can crop those down a bit and I think it'll make a world of difference. (It's free there, and lots of fun.) The pictures are fabulous, but a few need to be closer to see those so-handsome faces better. But that might just be me.

And, you officially can no longer say you suck at photography because you did a great job!

These are great photos. Great idea doing them outside. I'm with Karen, you need to get Picnic or even Picasa from Google. For the individual pictures you need to get in real close. Here's my vote:

Together - #2
Jock - #3 (even if it looks like the tree is sprouting out of his head!)
Bug - #2

Are you shocked I fully agree with Burgh? Thought not.

And, you got them to take pictures with real smiles? WOW. I don't know if I'll ever be so lucky.

I'm totally new here (stumbled here by way of Cece's blog) so I might not get a vote...but I like the 4th one of them together and the 2nd one of bug and I think I like the 2nd one of Jock too. i like all three of those alot so it was hard to choose. :) You take awesome pictures and it's a nice background...not like the kitchen or something like I'd do. hah!
